Tjalling (TJ) de Jong

TJ brings over 20 years of capital markets and corporate finance experience to Moneta. He has worked across the mining, energy, cannabis and emerging battery-technology sectors, providing investor relations support, financial analysis, corporate governance and market research for both private and public issuers. TJ has advised management teams on fundraising strategy, valuation, investor communications and transaction planning, working closely with analysts, high-net-worth investors and brokerage firms across Canada.
Prior to joining Moneta, TJ served as a public company Director for battery tech company, where he provided strategic oversight during key acquisitions and capital-raising efforts, supporting market capitalization growth from approximately $1 million to over $200 million. He previously founded and led a specialized oil & gas divestiture firm and has held investment advisory and business development roles with NRG Divestitures, Leede Financial and Canaccord Capital.

TJ holds a Bachelor of Management degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Lethbridge and has completed CFA Level 1, along with Canadian securities, derivatives and options licensing certifications.
